NEUROTOXINS

An injectable solutions that temporarily block the nerve receptors in the muscle, preventing lines and wrinkles from forming on the skin from repeat muscle movement. Most often these lines appear in the forehead, around the eyes, and between the brows. These injections do not result in augmentation in appearance or facial volume change. Rachel Coker Medical Aesthetics offers both FDA approved neurotoxins (onabotulinumtoxinA), Botox Cosmetic and Dysport. (At Rachel Coker Medical Aesthetics,

authentic neurotoxins are purchased directly from the manufacturers and NEVER over diluted, always insuring that you receive safe neurotoxins at their highest quality.) Both products single treatment results can be seen between 3 and 4 months’ post treatment.
Neurotoxins can be used as a tool to rejuvenate the skin and diminish static lines in conjunction with the help of other medical skincare products and treatments most often when treatments are preformed consistently every 3-4 months. These neuromodulators have been proven to work best when used as a preventative treatment modality and are FDA approved for the use on individuals over the age of 18YO. HYPERHYDROSIS

Botox injections are FDA approved to treat excessive sweating. Research demonstrates that treating excessive sweating of the armpits, hands, feet, head and face (craniofacial), and other relatively small body areas is safe and effective. In the skin, Botox
selectively turns off the nerve signal to the sweat glands resulting in a normal appearance without the wetness from sweat. Botox has been shown to result in an 87-82% decrease in sweating. This treatment can begin to work in 3-4 days and last for up to 12 months for some individuals. This minimally invasive procedure is performed with very little discomfort and no downtime.

SCULTPRA

Did you know that after age 20, you lose about 1% of the collagen in your skin per year?
 
Collagen is a fibrous protein which acts as the scaffolding of the dermal layers in turn helping maintain your skin’s shape and structure. The skin needs collagen to resist the natural signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging. Sculptra is a biostimulatory aesthetic injectable that helps stimulate the body to produce your own natural collagen resulting in smoother facial wrinkles and improve skin tightness, revealing a refreshed but natural skin appearance. Sculptra is the first and original FDA-approved poly-L-
lactic acid (PLLA-SCA) facial injectable that targets the skins signs of aging due specifically to collagen loss. Sculptra is NOT a dermal filler, it does NOT restore the volume of the face such as fat pads or bone structure. Biostimulators, such as Sculptra, produce your body’s own tissue therefore is not quickly broken down allowing results to be seen for a minimum of 2 years. On average, a patient new to Sculptra will have 2 to 3 treatment sessions over the course of 2-3 months. The only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin helping to improve your facial profile. The only active ingredient in KYBELLA ® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. KYBELLA® is administered as a series of injections to the treatment area under the chin, producing gradual results. With the understanding that every clients lower face profile is different, the ability for the treatment to be customized based on individual needs allows for personal goals to be achieved. The number of treatment sessions will vary based on the amount of fat under the chin and individual aesthetic goals. Not all individuals with lower face fullness is

SCLEROTHERAPY
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive injectable treatment for uncomplicated reticular veins (varicose veins 1-3mm in diameter) and spider veins (varicose veins ≤1mm in diameter) of the legs. Asclera (Polidocanol) Injection is an FDA approved liquid prescription medication used to treat these irregular veins causing them to seal shut and be reabsorbed by the body. The treated veins fade from view over time as this reabsorption process occurs much like the healing process of a bruise. Mild discomfort can be present during the procedure but should not be present post procedure. Some antibiotics and steroids must be avoided for a minimum of 2 weeks before and after injections. Following the in-office treatment, you will need to wear compression stockings as directed by your treatment provider and avoid direct sunlight to your legs for a minimum of 48 hours.
